It doesn’t take much effort today to see or find suffering within our communities and the world.
In a day and age when it’s so much easier and accessible to distract ourselves from our pain and
the pain of others, it is more important now, than ever, to train our hearts and minds to be able to
bear witness to that pain, but to also not burnout and fall into apathy because of it. During this
half-day retreat, we will focus on and take time to practice two of the four meditation practices
called “heart practices” to help uncover the natural tendencies of the heart which help aid us in
seeing and responding to our suffering and the suffering of others.
This workshop is suitable for anyone regardless of your meditation experience.
There will be a one-hour break for lunch.
